"Wild Jungle” draws its inspiration from Edvard Munch’s “The Scream,” however, instead of human figures on a path next to a fjord, we see deer and majestic mountains stand in sharp contrast against the gradient sunset of orange, yellow, and lilac. This is the scream of nature, the struggles of wildlife in a world overruled by humans.
JC's curiosity was ignited when one day, he saw two deer drinking from a pond in his gardens as animals started roaming freely out of the Pyrenees. Witnessing firsthand the effect of Covid and lockdowns on animal behavior inspired him to capture the beauty and vulnerability of nature in “Wild Jungle”.
