Evelyn is the result of a soul-searching experience trying to connect his training as Architecture with his roots. As he was born in Barcelona, he grew up with a strong influence from three of the best artists in history: Picasso, Dali and Miró.
Through the study of the shapes and colours, JC deconstructs her faces with touches of surrealism and abstraction.
With the initial help of a computer, JC manipulates Evelyn's face changing shapes, colours, textures and shadows. Anything but the essential details that recall the people portrayed. As an architect, he knows how to play with the relationship between shapes and empty spaces. And he definitively takes advantage of that in these art pieces more than ever.
